DETERMINATION, persistence and commitment are the three most important ingredients needed to succeed in the competitive global business world, said Pentamaster Corp Bhd group executive chairman Chuah Choon Bin.
“Chuah said he set up Pentamaster with a small capital of RM5,000 in 1991 and today his company is listed in the KLSE main board.Speaking on the topic 'Think Global Act Local – Towards a Successful Enterprise' at the Penang Gerakan SMI CEOs Coffee Talk, Chuah said he still remembered his first purchase order of RM380,000 from a multi-national corporation.
“Until today, I still treasure this transaction.” He said Pentamaster benefited from the Asian economic crisis in 1997 when local MNCs were looking at local suppliers.Chuah reminded young entrepreneurs “not to neglect any purchasing order no matter how small because the deal can become a triumph card to success.”
He also said a venture could only be successful when there was a good team of dedicated and loyal staff.
