MARY Tan, a Silver Jubilee Home For The Aged resident, will soon be
able to enjoy eating again, thanks to the one-off RM500 Bantuan Rakyat
1Malaysia (BR1M) aid.

said she would use RM400 to buy a new pair of dentures so that she would
be able to eat whatever she wanted.

Another recipient Yong Siew Lian, 78, who was wheelchair-bound, said she was happy to receive the money.
She said she would use the money to buy Chinese New Year items.
Goh said the 48 recipients were the first batch of 197 home residents receiving the aid.
“The distribution was meant for the convenience of the home residents, especially those who are bedridden.”
